Since yeast is nothing but a fungus, the best way to cure yeast infection is by using anti-fungal medications. You can easily buy anti-fungal vaginal creams over-the-counter. If you want to go this route, make sure that you are actually suffering from yeast infection and not something else! Several other types of vaginal infections can have similar symptoms like that of yeast infection. Also make sure that the cream or drug you are buying has at least one of the following four ingredients: butoconazole nitrate (Femstat 3), clotrimazole (Gyne-Lotrimin and others), miconazole (Monistat 7 and others), and tioconazole (Vagistat).
If you see that vaginal creams don't work, you may need to visit your local healthcare provider. Most probably the physician will prescribe oral medications if the infection is not responding to vaginal creams.
